SNOW REMOVAL ROUTINE
The Village of Hemingford snow removal will begin on Niobrara-moving snow to the middle of the street. Box Butte will be next where snow will also be moved to the street’s middle. Donald will be third, where snow will be pushed to the street’s west side, next to the park. Intersections will be done while grading is happening. Niobrara, Box Butte & Donald are Emergency Snow Routes.
Once emergency snow routes are cleared, the Grader will start on residential streets that head north & south. Please move all vehicles & trailers off these streets so that the Grader can clear a path with no obstacles.
After north & south side streets, the Grader will move to east & west streets. We ask that all vehicles & trailers are moved so that the Grader will have a clear path.
NOTE: All houses with alleys for a street will be cleared while the Grader is moving snow on residential streets.
The Village of Hemingford maintenance workers are not responsible for clearing driveways. While the Grader is clearing the streets, other maintenance workers will be removing the snow windrow from the street & dumping it at the fairgrounds or baseball fields. There will also be a worker clearing alleys for the trash truck.
