Utility Information

HEMINGFORD UTILITY BILLS

All bills are due by the 15th of each month.  A penalty of 10% will be added to any balances after the 20th.  All bills must be paid in full by the next billing cycle.  Failure to comply could lead to collections or the shutoff of utilities.  Those individuals who fail to pay their utility bill within the allotted time frame will receive a letter AND/OR disconnect notice after the 23rd of the month.

The Village of Hemingford  Utilities Department offers the following services:  Automatic Bill Pay * Credit Card Payments  * Cash & Check Payments.

The Village Utility Department also supports Our Community Connect. This is our new online bill pay service and is super easy to use and makes paying your bill so much more convenient. Individuals establishing new residency in Hemingford MUST complete an APPLICATION FOR UTILITIES and pay the  required deposits.  Residential services:  $100 electric  $50 water

For further questions, please contact the Village of  Hemingford Utilities Office at 308-487-3465, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m.  to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Hemingford Code 8-201 Article 2. Sidewalks

8-201 Sidewalks; Kept Clean. It shall be unlawful for the occupant of any lot or lots or the owner of any vacant lot or lots within the corporate limits to allow snow sleet, mud, ice or other substance to accumulate on the sidewalks or to permit any snow, sleet, ice, mud, or other substance to remain upon said sidewalk. All sidewalks within the business district shall be cleaned within five (5) hours after the cessation of a storm, unless the storm or fall of snow shall have taken place during the night, in which case the sidewalk shall be cleaned before eight (8:00) o’clock AM the following day: provided, sidewalks within the residential areas of the Municipality shall be cleaned within twenty-four (24) hours after the cessation of the storm.
